3E Outdoors is an exclusive training provider for DofE Adventurous Journey Training in the Czech Republic.

 

The Expedition section involves a lot of planning, training for and completing an unaccompanied and self-reliant expedition. We offer support to schools, groups and individuals who are undertaking this challenging award. Whether your students choose to walk, cycle or canoe we will design and deliver a perfect training and practise expedition to prepare them for their Qualifying Expedition.

What We Include

• DofE Expedition presentation at a location convenient for you – we will help you spread the word.
• Comprehensive pre-expedition paperwork pack for participants and parents, including consent forms and kit lists etc.
• Assistance with expedition paperwork (communication with the DofE head office, completing risk assessments…)
• A single point of contact within 3E Outdoors to provide continuing support throughout your expedition programme. Your questions answered quickly!
• High quality training, delivered at a location convenient for you covering everything from navigation, planning a route, setting up a camp, survival priorities, camp craft, cooking, first aid to how to pack a bag and other topics.
• Parents Q&A at the end of training – let us answer the questions for you.
• Training materials and helpful handout booklets for participants summarising everything covered during the pre-expedition training.
• Supervision throughout the expeditions from experienced and friendly instructors.
• Accredited assessors for the qualifying expedition.

We will work with you to choose a suitable location for your group. Whether you are looking for something in your local area, or you want to visit a new and more adventurous location in your country or abroad, we can help.

Our base is just outside the Šumava National park which is together with the neighbouring Bavarian Forest  the longest stretch of National Park and continuous forest in Central Europe. This wild heart of Europe is an ideal venue for Bronze and Silver Expeditions.

We also have an great knowledge of other expedition areas across the Czech Republic, and have delivered expeditions in Slavkovský les and Český ráj.
